You love the drinks at your favorite pho joint as much as the soup. Jasmine green tea sends your senses souring. Make this sugar-free version that tastes just like the original.
Green tea is chock full of polyphenols which have antioxidant properties to help protect your body's cells from free radicals. Drink green tea instead of soda!
1 Jasmine Green Tea Bag
2 C Water
1 Lemon Wedge
1 Lime Wedge
1 Packet Stevia Sweetener
Boil water. Pour two cups boiling water into a teapot or pourable measuring cup. Drop in the tea bag. I like Simple Truth Organic jasmine green tea. Steep for at least four minutes and up to 10 minutes. The longer you steep, the stronger the tea. Fill a tall glass with ice. Squeeze the lemon and lime wedges into the glass and drop them in. Pour in the brewed tea. Transfer the tea bag to the glass. Sweeten with stevia. Sir. Add a straw and sip.
This fragrant, icy drink goes great with my LFG Garlic Shrimp Noodle Salad. And drinking iced green tea is a great way to stay cool on a hot day.
