Holiday Pub Mix

This is like that other cereal party mix, but we make it with lectin free fancy nuts and Loverbird cassava cereal roasted in a savory sauce, then add LFG granola.

What do you get when you cross Lovebird unsweetened cassava O’s with Lectin Free Gourmet grain-free granola? Sweet and savory holiday pub mix you can’t stop munching.

This gourmet pub mix is available for a limited time in the special edition holiday party box. If you missed it, or you ate it all and want to make more, here is the recipe.

Warning, it's not cheap to make. But once you have it, you'll be so glad because it's the best dang pub mix ON THE PLANET.

It's just the thing for holiday entertaining. Pair this addicting snack with a barrel-aged spirit or even a kiddie cocktail. Drink, munch, repeat.

My gourmet version is as easy to make as the classic “cereal” party mix, but without peanuts, gluten, and sugar.

Instead, we use all the gut-loving fancy nuts – pistachios, macadamia, pecans, and walnuts – and combine them with unsweetened cereal O's by LOVEBIRD. Add my grain-free granola, cassava pretzels, and tangy freeze-dried cranberries to hit all the taste sensations. Is your mount watering yet?

To make this, we'll need a few special ingredients. First, of course, you'll need to get Lovebird cereal. The owner Parker is on a quest to clean up breakfast. Here's a link the Lovebird site, where you can find the unsweetened cassava O's needed for this recipe.

Additionally, a word about the cassava pretzels. It's hard to find 100% compliant pretzels, but Quinn's paleo grain-free varieties are very close. The only ingredients that isn't compliant is a teeny tiny bit of sunflower oil. It's not enough to worry about in this recipe, so I'm allowing it. You can buy them at Natural Grocers or get them online here.

Finally, you'll need some LFG granola. You can either make it separately yourself with the recipe on this blog, or buy some ready-to-eat here.
