Deep fried, Tabasco and butter drenched, with garlicky blue cheese dressing and celery sticks to cool your tongue, my LFG cauliflower wings will make you swoon.
Buffalo wings, made from cauliflower instead of chicken, make the perfect game day snack. These are deep fried in pure olive oil, and doused with butter and Buffalo Tabasco sauce. As if that's not enough, the dressing made with grassfed plain yogurt and blue cheese gives them another layer or WOW! Add this to your game-day spread.
The Recipe
Cauliflower Buffalo Wings
12 Large Cauliflower Florets
2 T Grassfed Butter
1/4 C Buffalo Tabasco
Deep Fat Fryer filled with Pure Olive OIl (not extra virgin)
3 Organic Celery Stalks cut into 3 inch sticks
Dressing
1/2 C Grassfed Plain Yogurt
1/4 C European Blue Cheese crumbled
1 Garlic Clove minced
1/4 t Course Black Pepper
1 Pinch Salt
Instructions:
Make the dressing first. In a small bowl, fold all ingredients together until even distributed. Dump into a serving dish or small gravy boat. Put the dressing and celery sticks onto your serving plate.
Next make the "wings." Start by turning your deep fryer and set at 280 degrees. When ready light goes on, drop cauliflower florets. Deep fry about 5 minutes or until golden brown. When done, let florets sit and drain in basket for at least 1 minute. Meanwhile, in a medium glass bowl, melt butter in microwave for about 30 seconds. Add Buffalo Tabasco. Toss your deep fried cauliflower forets gently in the mixture until well coated.
Dump your "wings" onto your serving plate and serve.
For the game, pair these wings with whiskey on the rocks. Go Vikes!
